FivarroBot
FivarroBot is the automated fetcher behind Fivarro's "Get phone numbers" feature for call lists. This page explains what it does and how to control it.
What it is
FivarroBot fetches a company's public website to read a phone number that a Fivarro customer would otherwise look up by hand. It reads the front page and, if needed, one contact page. It does not run JavaScript, submit forms, log in, or crawl beyond those pages.
Why it fetches your site
A Fivarro customer added your company to a call list (built from the Brønnøysund business register, which has no phone numbers) and asked Fivarro to fill in the missing number. The customer is responsible for that list; Fivarro performs the fetch on their instruction.
How often
- At most three pages per company (front page plus up to two contact pages)
Requests carry the user agent FivarroBot/1.0 (+https://fivarro.no/bot)
How to block it
FivarroBot obeys robots.txt. To keep it off your site entirely, add this to the robots.txt at your domain root:
User-agent: FivarroBot
Disallow: /You can also disallow specific paths the same way. Changes take effect on the next run.
What Fivarro stores
Only the phone number that was found, the URL of the page it was on, and the time and outcome of the attempt — never the page content, and nothing from pages where no number was found. See the privacy policy for details.
